Bharatanatyam
Bharatanatyam is a popular classical dance form in South India. Bharatanatyam performance involves carefully choreographed and well-practiced combination of eye movements, expressions, hand gestures, steps and dance. Bharatnatyam typically involves intense and strong movements and is known to be a very beautifully showcased art of storytelling.

Suitable for kids aged 5+, teenagers & adults – all levels
Course fee: £150.00 per student (10 weeks)
If you miss a class there is no option to be reimbursed or make it up on another day.
Weekly classes
Sunday afternoons 3-4pm from 8th January 2023. Resources will be provided to help you practice at home, such as videos, audios and handouts for theory.
Performance opportunities
Students learning dance will get to perform for cultural and charitable events, including a theatre show.
Certificatation
Students learning dance will receive certificates at the end of each academic term.
Examinations
Serious students wishing to pursue professional qualifications can take exams.

About your teacher
Dharithri Bharadhwaj
Dharithri Bharadhwaj is trained in Bharathnatyam (in the Carnatic style) to Senior grade, as per the standards of University of Karnataka for Dance and Music. She has more than 10 years of teaching experience across India and the UK. Dharithri has conducted a number of dance workshops at various schools and choreographed for many shows in cities like Mysore, Delhi and Milton Keynes. Classical and semi classical routines are her speciality with a touch of folklore dance moves.
